I’ve eaten at a diner with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, less than a week after she won her first primary, and I’ve listened to Elizabeth Warren squawk like a chicken while debriefing a presidential debate. I’ve interviewed 23 journalists about reporting on Trump’s America and investigated how a college bar in Pennsylvania became the best place to see the Jonas Brothers. I’ve reported an eight-part series on women and the opioid crisis and gathered the only members of Congress who’ve been open about their abortion stories.
